Wake Forest Professor Emeritus Jeanne Simonelli receives SFAA lifetime achievement award

Dr. Jeanne Simonelli, Emeritus Professor and former Chair of the Department of Anthropology, received the Sol Tax Award at the 75th Annual Meeting of the Society for Applied Anthropology in Pittsburgh on March 27th. The Sol Tax Award is presented annually to an anthropologist in recognition of both long-term and truly significant research and service in applied anthropology. Professor Simonelli was recognized for her distinguished accomplishment as an applied cultural anthropologist, writer, and activist.
